HI David.
I've used a fishing pole with about a 2 ounce weight here to get lines
up about 60 feet.  I just stand on the roof of the house and let fly. 
It takes 2 or three tries, but you can get it up there.  If the weight
hangs up, be careful pulling on the line as it can become a projectile
if it comes loose.
