I have done the same thing. I fabricated an aluminum panel the same thickness
as the aluminum window and placed bulkhead coax connectors in it. I then
grounded the panel to the main ground outside and used it as the ground
distribution, also. I ran rotor cables through drilled holes and sealed them
with caulking. I put weatherstripping on the top and bottom of the panel and
closed the window on it. I then used screw-on locks to keep the window secure
and placed foam weatherstripping where the windows overlap.
