       Twelve feet is plenty and don't worry about the orientation. Point the
 antennas the same way and you'll be fine. The KLM 4L 40M was the antenna that
 seemed to suffer degradation that necessitated the 90 degree off-set but the
 CC has been fine in all the installations that I'm familiar with.

For what it's worth, I just put up an XM240 eleven feet above a Hy Gain 204BA
which has a shorter boom than your KT34XA. There was definitely a change in
SWR from having the 2L40 alone on the tower to when the 204BA was added. Both
antennas are oriented the same direction. This tells me that there IS SOME
interaction. The question is whether it is enough to really diminish the
performance of either antenna.
It would be interesting if someone modeled this with a program that could
handle stacking. I'm sure it has been done by someone here on the TT
reflector...
Anybody done this who would care to share the results??
