Little, if any difference will be found bewteen "PURE" aluminum, and
oxidized aluminium , however, even if have unoxidized aluminum, will almost
instantainously oxidize (which is good, as the oxidation protects the
"PURE" aluminium from oxidizeing, that is under this protective layer. Pure
aluminium , however , does have one great attribute, and one (not so great)
the great one is:, it is quite easy to solder to, a fact that aluminium
oxide, doesn't have. the not so grate is that it rapidly oxidizes (the
silvery powder in fireworks is powdered aluminium) is quite volitile. A
friend's father related how, as a youngster , when folks made their own
aluminium paint, being instructed to get rid of about a pound of the stuff,
thru it into an incinerator! about leveled a building! as info, jim nn7k
