If you want to be compliant with the national electrical code, you
should be using electrical conduit (the grey stuff). You should be able
to get Schedule 40 at the big stores, if you find a wholesaler you can
also find lighter weight stuff which would be fine where you aren't
going to be under a road or driveway. Be sure to consider bend radius
when purchasing 90 degree elbows, if you are pushing heliax or something
through them, you might want sweep elbows which will have a larger
radius than the regular elbows.
You shouldn't have more than a total of 360 degrees of bends in any
segment without having a pull box or vault, the friction adds up pretty
fast, and to be compliant with the cabling standards you should limit
the bends to 180 degrees between pull boxes.
