Hello,

The problem was a loose cable clamp holding the shorting wire to one
leg of one of the reflector's linear loading lines. For some reason
didn't see it when initially looking for a problem with the ant. Did
find it yesterday when started to get it down and look for a
problem. Nice to find it. Once the nut on the cable clamp was
replaced, the ant. started working as it should. All the other nuts
and bolts were snugged up. The F12 balun was replaced by an eleven
and half turn, RG 213, solenoid balun wound on a 4" PVC pipe. Now
have to replace the F12 balun on the lower EF240X as well as insure
all the nuts and bolts on the lower ant. are tight.

Thanks to all who took the time to provide a possible reason for the
symptoms.
