Hi All,

Has anyone thought of using a "dry" molybdenum disulphide spray lubricant ???

It is often used industrially for lubricating wire ropes and in the
automotive engine assembly industry.

It provides a waxy tack free lubricant, however it does stick to
anything it comes in contact with like the proverbial "poop to a blanket".

Another item useful in helping protect thrust bearings from dust and
the weather is to use the rubber boots used to seal joints in toilet
(WC) installations. these come in a range of sizes here in VK from 1
1/2 inches to around 4 inches. Just right to match your mast diameter.

Catchya,

Gary
