I agree with everyone who suggested hardline. I have andrew LDF4 and
LDF5 hardline for all of my ham antennas except for an inverted vee
which I use 450 ohm balanced line for. The only antenna I have that
uses regular coax is my tv antenna. Up on the tower I use davis rf
Bury Flex (tm) for the jumpers.
The other advantage of using hardline is that it is tough as nails.
Rain, sun, snow, ice pose no problem at all. You can even direct bury
if you so desire. Cutting it is no problem either. Use a pipe cutter
or a hacksaw.
Ebay has a lot of it used or NOS. RF parts has it new but the price
isn't as good as used or NOS.
On a side note I'm looking for some 75 ohm catv line for my tv antenna. ;)
