I have an elevated vertical standing about 75’ tall - with 10 elevated radials
at about 8’. I need to ground the beast somehow for lightning events.

There’s a shunt coil between the vertical element and the radials as part of
the matching which provides a DC path between the two. There is no path to
ground (other than via a long run of coax – which I really want do
discourage!).

What is the best way to ground this antenna? Can I put a few ground rods at
the center base and run them up to the radial junction?
