All PVC parts used on the air gun have a max pressure rating of at least 280
psi. 70 lbs is well within safe working pressures. No I did not have a
certified Engineer test it, nor am I going to.

Should be stamped right on the side of the pipe. If it states "no pressure"
it is not to pressurize. They are usually also stated as "foam core". A 4"
non-foam core may state "220 psi as 68 F". Also check the reducers. The
package (where it is sold) states how much pressure, if any, it can operate
under.

Also remember: The safety requirements are different for tanks made for
pressurized liquid contrary to pressurized gas (such as air). The damages
from a ripped gas (air) tank is much more severe than from a tank filled
with liquid.

70 PSI. Yes, but look out! Some PVC pipes like Drain & Waste
pipes are not
rated for pressure. Just sayin'.

We took an

down to
1 1/2
inches in the back and installed a rubber tire valve in it.
On the

front we reduced it down to 3/4 inches and installed a 3/4 pvc valve
which

was then reduced to 1/2 inch PVC for about 18 inches for a barrel.
At

Walmart they have 3/4 ounce STEEL egg fishing weights that fit
perfectly

down a 1/2 inch pvc pipe. Pressurize the chamber, mount an old
Zebco
reel
under the barrel with the line through the weight, aim and shoot. I

can
shoot the weight 100 yards on 70 psi. Email me for pics of my gun.

There
is an ad in the last couple of pages of QST for a commercial
model.
