The brand is VISE Grip, not VICE Grip.
The generic term is "locking pliers".
Vise Grip (owned by Irwin Tools) isn't
the only player. Sears Craftsman also
produces them.
BTW, "egg insulator" is more correctly called
a "compression insulator", as that is how it
is used.
