Hopefully I didn't confuse anyone with my last post. I got my answer this morning and probably should have waited before posting this question. Down the road this might help someone in a search and I'm not affiliated in any way with this program.

I was looking at liability insurance for a new repeater at a commercial site; with the ARRL plan you need to be an affiliated club with at least 51% membership to qualify, they will not insure individuals; the homeowners part mentioned below is separate and is based on blocks of stated value. Got that straight from the company in Chicago.

Sorry again for any confusion and I won't belabor this anymore :)

With regards to this thread, does anyone know if the ARRL Insurance would provide $1M coverage for a leased commercial repeater site? Ham-related from what I've read is only residential tower coverage and not where you'd pay rent at (I am shopping for this currently and won't bother to spin up a new club if not).

Regular insurance companies won't insure hobbyists and the ARRL Insurance above won't cover individuals.

I looked into getting ARRL insurance many years ago.  If I had obtained it back then, the cost would have exceeded the amount of my claim ($25K).  Fortunately, most homeowners policies have a lightning damage clause that has no exclusions, and a small deductible (mine was $2500).

What about the policy offer through the ARRL?  Appears to rather affordable and would cover everything ham related.

Don’t flame me, I’m just asking.
