Yeah, Qty: 10 might be 33k, but so might Qty: 100.
Especially if they have to set up tooling.

Just imagine if you had to pay $100/hr for an engineer to design and build the 
coil winding apparatus. 

This is one of those things where it might be available from China on AliBaba.

I was winding tesla coil secondaries and someone pointed me to a host of places 
in China that do this on a semi-custom basis at an incredibly low price.

The last time I looked into buying from B&W which was a few years ago, I was
stunned by their prices on new coil stock. They wanted hundreds of dollars
for an airdux wire coil that might have been 6 to 12 inches long, 4 inches
diameter and maybe six TPI, IOW your typical antenna coil.
