I can't beleive the manufacturers haven't gotten a clue on this already. We've
had radios capable of computer interface for what, at least 15 years? (the
FT757GX, not a II, in my car is rudimentarily capable). In that time I have
been
involved with LOGic (my regular logging software), brand C, Brand N, and of
course TR, as a user, and it just amazes me hearing what I have heard. It
appears
that Kenwood is a dream to write code for, Yaesu okay but doesn't do a couple
of things well, Icom sucks, and Ten-Tec, having the choice of the 3 to adapt,
picks the worst one to emulate.

I don't believe for a second that they all haven't heard about this. Certainly
at
least from the software authors.

But then, Heil still has to sell 3 different mic plug adapters for his headset,
so I
guess there's no place where they can get a clue.

Okay, rant mode off.
