Two suggestions:
Always use a Radio Shack audio isolation xfmr between computer audio and rig
audio (both directions).
Sound cards vary greatly in their noise levels, and you may have one that is
quite "hissy". Original SB16 is quite noisy. SB PCI128 is not. (The two
that I have).
