I don't think WriteLog has any kind of spot filtering that is
selectable.  You need to set up filters on the cluster node to eliminate
the excess chatter.  For a DXSpider node, US station ARRL DX CW it would
be:

reject/spots call_dxcc k,ve
accept/spots on
1800/1900,3500/3600,7000/7100,14000/14150,21000/21200,28000/28200

For the other type of nodes you will need to use their filter syntax.
Just be sure to clear the filters after the contest.  Of course, their
is no filtering that I know of that will filter RTTY or 40M phone
spots...
