The main issue saving every QSO is the lag writing to disk when the log
gets big. For casual single ops, the problem is not noticeable. For
multi and single op "pros" the time lag is quite noticeable as the
number of QSO's increases.

The best way to handle this is to have a "journal" file which stores all
QSO's from the last save. If there is a crash, when WriteLog starts, it
restores the QSO's from the journal after reading the main database
file. This is basically what word processing and spreadsheet programs
do between saves. This would require some internal programming.

The use of a server that is not actively logging for a station makes a
lot of sense.

In the WriteLog.ini file (in Windows) under [Configuration] add the
line:

AutoSaveCount=1   (or another value)

Another good tip from the k9jy.com website.
