WriteLog does not support use of the LPT port on Windows NT, Windows 2000,
Windows XP, and newer operating systems.
However, third party solutions are available:
http://www.direct-io.com. This product is shareware and currently
priced at $29.00.
Setup instructions for direct-io with WriteLog can be found at
http://www.direct-io.com/kb/q600003.htm.
Alternatively, a freeware product is available:
UserPort.zip is freeware. Instructions on how to use it are here. But
UserPort does not always work
on all XP systems, and for those where it doesn't work, the usual
symptom is a Windows system crash.
Note that neither of these tools are used by or supported by the WriteLog team.
