Hey Gerald,thanks for the info...I do have a drill press but prefer a lathe for more precise fit...Larry,W7IUV has a bushing(And a lathe) and he`s only a 30 minute drive away so I think I`ll bug him!

Max-Gain Systems offers this type of counter new and their price is lower than most other suppliers.Mounting requires a template to find the shaft centerline, but that`s really easy to figure out...

A single YC-156 if run at 6kv will make a pair of 8877`s look meek...And that`s with 100 watts drive...The 3CX3000A7 makes good suds too but requires about double the drive of the 156.Only drawbacks

Jim..IT`S NOT IF INSIDE OR OUT MOUNTING!IT`S how you prep the hole!Punch the hole large enough so the screw cap fits inside the hole itself...This barely leaves enough metal for the two small screws
