With CT DOS you need to load COMTSRx.EXE for the specific COM port. Have you loaded this before starting CT DOS? Is the serial port on the laptop enabled and working? ________________________________

If you have to use Windows to close the program, you are not using DOS. DOS CT runs in DOS, not in a shell within Windows. If you have any Windows except XP or later, then you have to boot into DOS.

I used an MFJ voice keyer with CT 10.02.003 in ARRL DX SSB with external control and no problems. I wired something up to the MFJ a few hours before the contest and was able to use the function keys
