Has anyone put up a Karlnet system using hardware other than Lucent AP's or RG's and had a STABLE system (no reboots needed for months at a time)??? I'm looking for recommendations and experiences wi
According to Cor from Lucent, when the RG1000's go all red, it means that Karlnet assigned you a bad key. Generally this happens when you typed the wrong MAC address into the License-it site. forced
If you have 20 business clients on the AP, does that indicate that you have 20 business NETWORKS on this AP? Each network could have many workstations. You could have 200+ computers hitting that sing
We have dozens of RG1000's deployed to our subscriber base. But, we have a few RG1000's that came back from customers over the last few months with various problems... some won't light up at all, som
Well that's great and all, but as an end-user, the product says Agere and the docs say Agere, and the invoice says Agere (I think)... so how the heck can I be expected to know to go to Avaya for war
Has anyone had any luck running the AP1000 in 802.11b mode with non-lucent cards. I'm hoping to find a 100mw solution, but it has to be 802.11b mode NOT Turbocell. Does the Karlnet SEC Base software
Hmm... I could have sworn that there were a few guys that had the AP-1000's running in Turbocell mode with the prism cards. Here is what I need: Some sort of hardware suitable for tower mounting (lig
So you are stating that you can't even run 100mw cards in SEC mode in a PC running a karlnet flash-rom kit? This sounds worse than I had thought. I was really hoping to stay with Karlnet for it's nic
Let me know what you find out. It will take some reconfiguration of our network, but I could use the SEC with routing rather than bridging if it would support the higher powered cards.
I don't agree that the limit should be set up this way. If a single radio can support up to 64 client sessions, then 3 radios SHOULD be allowed to support 64 X 3. I understand that Karlnet support ju

I know that the PRISM cards are supported in SEC Clients on RG1000's and PRISM cards are supported on several of Turbocell hardware platforms What I would like to know is this... are the PRISM cards
Thanks for the info... it's not the answer I wanted, but at least it's an answer. Anyone from Karlnet want address why the Prisms are still not supported in the 802.11b SEC AP firmware? SEC AP. the o
Yes and no... The CB3 will show up as Prism I on the link test monitor. When selected, it WILL show accurate local AND remote SNR/signal/noise data. The Linksys WET11 will ALSO show up as Prism I on
We almost exclusively use Karlnet SEC with NAT AND DHCP. I'd say about 5 out of every 100 sites we install uses bridging and NONE of our SEC clients use routing. I certainly hope that the SEC license
Are there any plans to allow Karlnet SEC AP's to support 200mw cards? We have been deploying Karlnet SEC AP's exclusively until this last winter. We were forced to switch to StarOS for the last few A
