I used to have a tall tower close to salt water. It was the tallest thing for miles. It was never directly hit. My theory was that the lightning preferred the highly conducive salt water. Chuck W5PR

With an antenna that heavy, I think I would rather go with the PITA of loosening the guys and taking one guy off, one level at a time and pulling it up the side of the tower. Or, a crane. Chuck W5PR

Unless the wind is blowing straight on the front or back of the antennas, the boom to mast clamps would twist the mast in the same direction no matter which side of the mast the antenna is mounted on
