By using another program I was able to determine that Writelog appears to be the culprit. All works well with DX Lab's Commander and DX Lab's Keeper programs. Hopefully this thread will be passed on

To clarify, the setup here is: IC 775DSP 46h @9600 baud I have tried it in transceive and not transceive and no difference CT 17 To Comm port IC 775 and PW1 connected Writelog 10.51 -- Tnx es 73 Dick

Wayne et al, Thanks for the explanation on the port setups. I did already have a [Rigs] section. I changed the comm3 setup to 1 stop bit. It of course had been set to 2. What improved immediately was

Thanks Phil, I have had the rig set at 9600 baud. The PW-1 requires this so I have had that setting for some time. I changed the stop bits in the wl .ini file and that has helped the "No rig" problem

Don et. al. I guess that is part of the problem I bring up. Inconsistencies in how the program operates causes problems. So if it works for CW or SSB then in my opinion in should work that way for RT
