Was using the rig last evening without problems. This morning, I have no CW transmit. I've done everything I can think of, to include pushing every button, unplugging everything except the key and an

Thank you to all who replied with suggestions. I still have no idea what caused this, but here is what finally fixed it. You may want to put this in a memory bank somewhere.... The master reset had n

I need someone to point out the obvious - which I am missing! I've had my 1000MP about 3 days now, and put it on RTTY tonight for the first time. First QSO I was told I was inverted. Have confirmed i

I now have 12 replies to my inverted FSK message. Of those, 5 people have noted the exact same phenomenon, and 4 of those 5 are ex-1000D owners who had to either rewire their FSK connectors or switch

Author: N3SL@aol.com (N3SL@aol.com)
Date: Sun, 1 Dec 1996 21:26:19 -0500
Several people asked that I post a summary of info I received concerning updates to the FT-1000D. There is no need for a summary, as there evidently are no updates! Only one person mentioned PIN diod

I have noticed on some rigs I hear, and now I've had people tell me, that the CW on the FT1000D is choppy when running QSK (is there any other way?!). Going to semibreak-in tends to alleviate the pro

Well, the "choppy CW" message brought 8 "it's a known problem" replies (or some variation thereof), and a single "no problem at all" reply. Perhaps it's only a problem in earlier rigs (see below). In

Have DVS-2 and FT1000D. Everything works fine except the DVS-2 output is super hot and over modulates the rig. (I guess the other possibility is that the output itself is distorted.) Mic gain setting

Thank you, to all who have replied. The problem evidently was in early DVS units, Yaesu subsequently making a modification which has "fixed" it in newer productions. As for anyone having the "hot" DV
