Not paper wasps though-- so keep that one in mind. However, it can only help when you dump diesel on them and then light them on fire later that night after you got the $h*% stung out of you though.

Always keep a spray bottle filled with kerosene when working on or opening roofs in the summer. The kero kills the paper wasps instantly and it is cheap. Alek. PS: WD40 is a really excellent cleaning
