Re the big M/2 MM switch debate: I noticed to my surprise when viewing the raw scores that CN2AA who tops the M/S category with nearly 35 megapoints could presumably also have switched to M/M and won

(Sorry, sent away my message before finished) Yes, agree with Goran. The main issue is that MM competition this year was weak and in case we had a few really competitive MM efforts, no chance would h

Mats, The difference between M2X and MM is very slim. If you look at the PJ2T and CR3L scores, PJ2T has about 700 more QSO's but CR3L had 80 more multipliers. Some people don't realize that stations

How can an M2 win over an MM. It is very simple actually. You only need to take the geographic factor into account. An MS in zone 33 or 35 can easily achieve a higher score than a full fledged MM in

CR3L had 3 operators less then PJ2T. Even DR1A without that 3 pointer advantage has beaten both stations in M/M in the past (2011). Without enough operators you canīt really expect to be competitive.

Of course Martin... I just compare "similar" locations, where I consider PJ2 being a pretty equal one to zone 33 or 35. A M/S station in Zone 33 or 35 should have issues to beam a M2 or MM station in

Hi Martin: I think that is how the vast majority look at it. There are a group of international competitors ...D4C, CR3L, 4O3A to pull a few out of their hat. The rest of us are either competing with

Hi Mats, I don't think so. PJ2 or any country in zone 9 is not as favored as zone 33/35. At least during this phase of the solar cycle. It has been demonstrated that EF8M was able to run on 10 m like

Mats, Zone 33 and 35 are nothing like zone 9. I haven't operated from either but the numbers on 15/10 meters I see from stations who operate multi-op from there are as good or better than the 3 big m

Zone 33/35 has the advantage over Zone 8/9 of being a short shot away from about 60 countries in Europe, vs. maybe 10 available in NA from zone 8/9. Secondarily, the antipodes from 33/35 is roughly K
