It sounds like basic RF overload of that preamp. Does the interference arise when transmitting on other bands? Are antennas for other bands as close to the TV antenna/preamp? First I'd try some ferri

It is only getting in via the TV coax. Our home is all-steel, walls and roof, so there is nearly zero chance I am getting into the amp any other way - indeed when I disconnect the antenna feedline an

I'd say common mode and differential mode are equally likely. A ferrite choke on the coax is the right fix for common mode. A bandpass filter (or bandstop filter) is the right fix for differential mo
