Well, slowly I am catching on here. Ok let me ask you this, now that I have monitored the bands all day and have saved many RTTY frequencies to memory, this being a NA contest I have many local (if y

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ More DX is found between 14080 and 14090 than all the other bands put together. Spend most of your listening time there, but when there is a major DXpedition
Don't discount 17 meters. When the band is open, there is usually some sort of RTTY activity there. PSK is also very active on this band. I agree, 40 and 80 are usually dead unless there is a contest
The reason I went with the 756 PRO series (I currently have the PRO lll) was the ability to read RTTY and scan the bands without having to boot the computer or other things. I can listen on the CW po
Outlaw AFSK? Maybe dirty AFSK, but it's the only way to fly AFAIC. S&P in NET/Autotune TX mode saves a lot of time and you are on exactly the right frequency when you answer. How about PSK? You cant
What IF is the DSP filtering in? Unless it's in the second, it's at a severe disadvantage to a crystal filter in that stage. I've yet to hear of a ham radio that didn't benefit from crystal filters..
Hello Ty, Call me olde fashioned (I just got my AARP card the other week)... but for RTTY contesting, every radio built should have an FSK mode. One diode, one cap, and a piece of wire... pennies...
