I've never grounded my computer case to anything in the shack other than the AC ground pin in the AC power cord. Never had a problem with my shack in this grounding arrangement. _____________________

Don, The 17m appears to be a resonance issue. I'd suspect an input device rather than the computer itself (since once the input clears, the messages go out). Suggestion: The keyboard is most suspect
