- That depends. What did the loud pop smell like? I'd give it a real close looking over and under, inside and out, mostly inside, before putting power to it again. I suspect you'll find something burnt

- Art, I would not think a tube would have a smell if it arced, unless it was an external arc at the pins. My bet would be a capacitor having shorted, such as the one from the final active devices to t

- The orginal Titan amps will run just fine on a single tube, with half the max output. I suspect the new one will too. The tuning changes slightly if one tube is missing. You can pull one or both tube
