While RF on HF or 2m is unlikely to affect the radar, it is affected by vibrating objects. In fact, the standard for "calibrating" the gun is a tuning fork held in front of it. Do your antennas vibra

We calibrated our K55 radar with two tuning forks. You struck it on a soft surface such as the dash. One was 35 mph and the other was 80 mph. You also had to strike both at once and get the differenc

Well, still pretty far OT, but here's the basic concept. The radar units send a radio signal and then read the reflected signal back looking for the difference in the "bounced" signal frequency and t

Horn antennas work over a very broad bandwidth. The low frequency cutoff depends on the physical dimensions. Bigger horns go to lower frequencies. Sort of like a discone antenna. DE N6KB ___________
