Sent my F/NH7A file to the league. Then I noticed 9.65 does not generate the correct Carrillo file format. CT=junk. Never, Never again will I use this #*@# program. My call is not found in the file g

Excuse me Al. You have erred. Not CT. You are not looking at the Cabrillo file. You are looking at the old NH7A.LOG format file. The Cabrillo file is named NH7A.TXT and looks like this: START-OF-LOG:

Ken You are correct. But why does it generate a F.log , when the correct log is NH7A.txt, but the call used was F/NH7A? 73, Al use That's completely uncalled for! If you've been on this list for any

I guess I'm not paying too close attention here. =) Is the cabrillo text file in otherwise proper form? The problem probably relates to rule against using the "/" character in a file name. This would

Don't believe that is right. I'm 99% sure the ARRL wants Cabrillo files to have .txt file extensions. What they want is at www.arrl.org. CT should automatically generate the file with your call sign

Gary, My read of http://www.arrl.org/contests/fileform.html is that even the Cabrillo file should have a "log" extension. Further, the Cabrillo FAQ http://loja.kkn.net/~trey/cabrillo/faq.txt states i

Ken, Trust me -- it's .txt. But don't take my word for it -- send an e-mail to the contest department at ARRL. I know the CQ contest people have put out several e-mails telling everyone to stop using

You are correct on that account. CQ requests a different file extension than ARRL. CQ wants "txt", ARRL *wants* "log". I agree that it probably doesn't matter. However, I can't find anything on the A

However, if the HEADER information in the file is correct (i.e. matches the Cabrillo spec.) then the actual extension is irrelevant. I suggest you read the K8CC article if you have questions. 73 - Ji

The slash charachter is NOT allowed in a DOS filename. I am sure that is why CT cannont, will not (ever) generage a file F/anything. No other program will either, by the way. A simple work around for
