Tube audio is a bunch of BS for the un-educated.
The tube amp does have more distortion (i.e., the output is more
different from the input than in the solid state amp). Some audio
people find that this particular distortion is pleasing. I have a
professional audio editing program which has numerous selectable
effects, including one that introduces the characteristic distortion of
tube-type amplifiers.
This isn't a moral question, it's just about what sounds better to
someone's ear.
