"Suggested" limits are 1 kW I think, but remember, when the fit hits the shan, 
all that goes out the window.  Just like we do in military communication 
systems...

I think he means working DX located on the planet Mars. By the way, I think 
(although I haven't tried it) that my Alpha 86 will do fine at 1.5 kw RTTY (it 
has 1600 watts total plate dissipation and the optional extra fan).
