The way the GS-35b cooler is designed I seriusly doubt a hose clamp would
stress the tube ...The way I attach is with a 1/2 inch wide copper strap
wrapped around the base of the cooler,each end bent 90 degrees and drilled
for a small screw and nut. This makes a very sanitary connection from cooler
to plate blocking cap.The tube chimney fits below this strap to chassis.Jim.
