Hello Carl,

Well the spec says the max volts on the anode should be 2400, so maybe
Heathkit decided to save the valves a little. The HT supply has been
re-built.

My mistake next...... On the FT-1000MP you can adjust the 'Tune'
output power in steps 10/50/100. Mine was set to 50w, so pushing the
tune button on the remote meant that I was only using 50w to tune the
amp and giving me a lower output than I should have been seeing and I
didn't notice this. The output now with a bit more input is about what
you're seeing.

The input swr has been dealt with and I get nearly 1:1 on all bands.
