Jim has been a scofflaw forever, at least for the couple of years I
have been reading his illegal-amp drivel on various reflectors.

## I'm on AMPS.. and the yahoo ham_amps... and that's it. You say
you have built 5 x amps.. why not post the pix on ham_amps... like
I did? I posted 150+ pix on there. Where's yours ?

He always points to bad behavior by others as justification for his own.

## never have Bill. I don't have to justify anything, to anybody.
I call it as I see it. I'm no BS artist either. Remember that argument
about how a simple tuned input works, and how, without one, the return
current is via the coax shield going back to the xcvr, then up through the
load cap of xcvr.. and back down center conductor, back to cathode. You
still don't believe it, even after Tony King posted the Orr classic diagram
on the other reflector. I bet you $1000.00 CASH, that's how it works.IOW,
put up or shut up. You vanish into thin air for a while... and come over to
AMPS.
Now ur spewing BS, about how RF bores right through solid 1/8" AL.

Fortunately his ilk is rare in our hobby. Nearly all hams recognize
the rationale for power limits and obey the rules. Jim thinks rules
are for other people, not him.

## Eimac tells me that club stations in JApan are allowed 3.5 kw.
In some former soviet union countries, the ham power limit depends on how
much u pay for the annual fee. The max was a whopping 50 kw.
321 countries on the planet.... and all with different standards.

Very few in the uk-zl-vk-zs land obey their 400w rule. Nobody in Italy
obeys their 300w rule. Would you ?

## How come 20 kw ERP is ok... with stacked yagi's on big tower's ?
Perhaps the FCC should make it 1.5 kw ERP. Then low power for the
fellows with big tower's. Would that make you happy? Or why not just
make it 20 kw ERP.... now that would make a lot of sense.

He is a detriment to ham radio

## for what .... promoting 7-16 Din's ? Or for getting Ken at Cal-Av to
custom
build me 5 x 10 kw baluns, to my specs ? I convinced Ken to make em a stock
item,
and the rest is history. They sell worldwide. A $200.00 YC-156 makes more
sense
than $2400.00 for a pair of 8877's or 3CX-1200's. IMO, the YC-156 is the
4-1000
for the new millenium.

and I hope the Canadian authorities
nail him to the wall one of these days.

## for what... posting step by step pix on how to build a
YU-148 amp? Or is it the 2 x GS35B 6m amp ? Or perhaps
the ant tuner, with the pair of swiss made vac caps and edge
wound roller coil ? Or maybe the 1 in, 9 out remote ant switch?

## Just for the record, I had my ham license suspended for 2 x weeks
back in 1977.. over RFI/TVI. I had my license suspended for 6 x months
about 5 yrs ago. If I'm not at the top of their bad boy list, I'm 2nd from the
top.
The 2nd suspension was over ant's. City hall hates ham radio in this town.1150
hams.. and only 4 of us on HF. City hall wants my license revoked
permanently.
I made page 1 of the local paper about 6 x now. The only ham that I know who
got
busted for high power was old Tommy Wong, VE7BC [ big cookie] who got nailed
for running 5 kw AM... back at the tail end of the AM days.

## This monday, the battle over city hall not granting me a building permit for
my new
tower starts up. Hams are exempt from building permits, both provincially, and
federally...
but city hall insists that I spend thousands on a local engineer, to make sure
my new
tower is safe. Stay tuned. I have had lawyers working on my behalf since
1998.

## I had 3 x radio inspector's come over, in 2 x vehicles at 9AM on a Sat
morning
of a dx contest. [ on double time too, plus hotels from the night before] I
had had 1 hr
of sleep. They came in under false pretenses, stuck the spectrum analyzer on
the radio
etc. To come over now, they require a court order from a fed judge, that
specifies the
use of force, by a peace officer. And I'm still not required to open the door.
 They also
require exigent circumstances, like spurs wiping out an aircraft navigation
system, or
a modified 2m xcvr, TX'ing out of band, on the local cops freq etc...
something actually
legit.

## So Bill, are you the only one who has the right to free speech ? There
is almost 600
of us on the yahoo amp reflector.... how come you left ? Where's my
$1000.00 ?? Would
you like to bet another $1000.00 cash that RF won't pass through 1/8" thick AL
plate.

Jim VE7RF

73, Bill W6WRT
