Hello everybody,
I have a TL-922 amplifier and one of 3-500 tubes died - it is widely open
now.
Another one is still good and amp produces 400-500W out.

Friend of mine gave me a link to youtube video with a slide show of TL-922
converted to work with Russian GI-46B tubes.
His point was that the tubes are much cheaper than 3-500's...

Here are the videos:

What do you think of it?
Is it something "even a caveman can do" or "forget about it"?

One thing concerns me - none of those conversion use anode blower, they rely
on original TL922's fan.
I also was not able to find any schematic for the conversion itself, only
the videos...

thanks,
Alex K2BB
