Do you have the cooling fan wired for High Fan speed? If not you could make
it switchable for high speed when contesting or RTTY etc.

My AL-1500 runs pretty cool even on RTTY with the fan set to High, it is
noisy though, but no more than an external fan I would guess.

I noticed the AL-1500 was getting pretty hot during the contest last weekend
& wonder if putting a large muffin fan on the outlet & sucking the exhaust
would perhaps assist in increasing air flow. 

I don't want to permanently increase the fan speed, only help aspirate the
amp under heavy use.
