Fan noise I can probably handle - location and acoustical isolation from 
the operating desk should help.

I just may give the AL-1500 a try. If that works out I should rebuild 
the blower in my last working Alpha 77, then sell it and the 2-hole 76A 
to lighten up the desk. The outside exhaust system for the YC-156 may be 
finished by then, if so that will be the primary station amp and 
everybody's happy.

My wife has this thing she swings in front of my face (a shiny bit on a 
string, or was it her fist?)  - "No more boat anchors... No more boat 
anchors..." ;-)
