Eltek 'rectifiers' do appear to work well but they are designed for
charging 48V (4 x 12V) battery banks at typically 53-57V and may not
have the regulation you would expect.

I am using Meanwell/Sunpower RSP-3000-48 supplies as Future Electronics
(USA) had them priced ridiculously cheap a while back and they were
under half the price that they were in Europe!

Another alternative to consider is the HP 48V 2950W power supply for the
HP Proliant BL class servers (HP part number 406424-001)  - try
searching Ebay for "HP 48V 2950W" - they often sell for $30-99 plus
shipping.
