Paul I have 126 watt, bright white, spirals that are in the same outside
enclosures where I had regular bulbs. They are on for approx 10 hours
everyday. I live in the most horrendous conditions in the USA, it is 115
degrees outside, and I have had those bulbs for 6 month, they show no sign
of wear-n-tear. Neither bulb is exposed rain.

Do you have special ones for outside? According to the warnings they
aren't
supposed to be used if they are exposed to the elements and they cannot be
used in enclosed fixtures. Until they solve that issue, I think they may
be
premature in this rush to ban and change.
