The ZQP is a new breed of Ham radio contest gents. Serious, We in no way are
trying to compete with NEQP or 7qp or any other.

It's not a county hunters contest, and for that we have eight states in Zero
land that already are ignored by county hunters everywhere. IE The Missouri
QSO party this year had less than 100 entries.. DISMAL, and its on its own
weekend. So shoving the ZQP out on a inactive date wont equal it's success,
just isolate it like the Iowa QSO party that also had less than 90
participates last year. Hopefully more this year.

The ZQP is also not motivated by mobiles from in / or out of the state
adding to the Frey. The ZQP is designed to allow everyone to work everyone.
(...."SHOCK".....) Yes read the directions, New England can work Missouri,
and Missouri, can work New England, and New England, can Work New England,
and it all counts for points. I know I know that's radio blasphemy in the
contest world except for ..GASP.... the CQ WPX ahem...cough hack... Were not
trying to be the CQ WPX tho... just borrowing a few good ideas from all.

So what is the ZQP.
It must be the red headed step child to all others, because, one can indeed
work the NEQP & the 7qp, and work the ZQP, and not face death by firing
squad or beaten by a qrpp signal or even loose face with your county
hunter folks who would see the ZQP as a threat if it wasn't combined with a
county and a rst.

So please take inconsideration this new and highly simplified contest that's
stuck in the middle, and that's a good thing.

We wanted to be in the middle that's where all the good stuff
is..Seriously..Seriously..
