[Orion] Wiring Orion <-> Soundcard?

What's the 'correct' way to hook up my Orion to the soundcard for use 
with Writelog, DX4Win and other soundcard modem software?  There seem 
to be lots of 'rear panel'  options for the Orion.

With my Omni, I went directly from the microphone into the 'mic in'', 
but also fed the card with RX audio ('line in') for decoding off the 
air and the radio from the line out".
