Cable modem interference on 6 meters. I was able to pin this down by pulling the RJ-45 cable from the modem to the PC. I then went to the Motorola website and read the SB4100 modem manual. <bold>Equipment Check: One 10/100Base-T shielded Ethernet cable* *Supplied by service provider </bold> Turns out that Time Warner Cable of Corning NY <bold>does NOT stock </bold>any shielded RJ45 cables. This probably means there are thousands of these modems out there violating Part 15 - with unshielded cables. Jim KD2KU Corning NY |
