Roger, 30 years ago, I put up a Heights 48' aluminum tower that was rated at 8 sq. ft. wind load. I had a full-sized 3 element yagi for 20 meters on it. The base was 3' x 3' x 3' of concrete with no rebar. I had no problems with it. I later sold it to my college ham club and we put it up with the same sized base (no rebar) with a TH-6 on top. Again, there were no problems. The tower was up for 7 - 8 years total. 73, Jim, AD4J |
