Hello gang,

Please excuse what might be a silly question. I have not owned or heard a
rig that employs
IF DSP. I am considering getting either a Jupiter or an Argo V with their IF
DSP filtering.

I have used a Kenwood TS-570DG, which has AF DSP. I consider the AF DSP in
that rig
as OK - nothing great. On CW the DSP worked well and I enjoyed the comfort
of using it in
crowded band condx. On SSB, it was marginal at best. I can honestly say that
it very rarely
helped with hearing the weak ones.

I guess the big question is: Is IF DSP worth the extra $$ over the AF DSP
rigs? Will one notice
a great difference of one vs. the other?

Many thanks.
