IF you watch what is being upgraded or put into the software it is fringe 
stuff ! The basic cw and ssb works fine as is ! Now if you want to type and 
have it send and receive some weird keyboard mode that nobody but a few 
weirdoes want to use you will have to wait until they poke it into the 
software in a year or so :-) I don't think I use a quarter of the FEATURES 
in my ORION II thingy and never will but it is a GREAT cw / ssb receiver and 
so is my K-3 as it is :-) The tentec reflector guys seem to want some kind 
of water fall display or something and I have that FEATURE turned off any 
way, oh poor me , woes me, how stupid I am !! ..................... duh !!
