Coincidentally, I was searching on this topic today, except I was interested in using salt to prevent weeds from growing around my verticals. I found a fairly long discussion on garden web: http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/prof/msg0501575830762.html Bottom line: salt is an extremely good herbicide and soil sterilant. Don't try to use it to increase conductivity if you ever want to grow anything in the area. Rick Karlquist N6RK richard@karlquist.com www.n6rk.com www.karlquist.com |
