The resistance sounds about right Martin. Most of the conductivity comes from the copper strands. Steel strands have high mechanical strength, but poor conductivity. I square R loss is low as signal current is very low.

   The length of the beverage is about 200m. To my surprise
  i measure about 25Ohms with a Multimeter at the feed end of the beverage.
